Windlace on a 65 B Post. Question.

Quick question about the Windlace above the door on a 65 B Body Post:

Is the Windlace fixed place before the headliner gets tucked up under the hooking strip? Or does it get installed after the liner is in place?

Just trying to learn as much as possible on the subject. Can't find any info on line on this.

Any info on the subject is appreciated,

Thanks, Mark

Image by deatrotull (james) of the inside of his very nice 66 Bel Air. Hope he doesn't mind!

Nevermind. On going out to look at it again, The Windlace obviously looks to just push up in behind the headliner and the tooth strip when done.

And gets stapled from the top to the floor, into the square tacking strip.

One other question: Is there a small section of tack strip to the outside of the windshield that is screwed on? On each side there is a small section without tack strip, with 3 screws still in place. Can't remember what came out of there when I pulled the headliner. Cheers.
