I call that 20th century primitive. I have them on edog right now for 200.00 plus shipping. They are 30 gallon vinegar barrels from a pickle outfit up here. 55 gallon barrels are a little extra.  Top is rough cut with a sabre saw as are the handles (your choice of 1 or 2 handles) with your choice of hand scribed names in fat max magic marker.  Perfect garage size!  Glad ya like them! Re-purposing at its finest LOL...Note: not to be used for burn barrels LOL.   Bill

z149.jpgYESSIR!!! Nothin' comes alive like a 455! Scored tonight. A local guy with a 68 GS 400 has a barn full of 455 motors in various states of, well, decay. Picked up a PS pump with all the brackets and bolts, an air cleaner from a big car, and a bunch of misc. stuff for 25.00 More cleaning and building tomorrow! Bll

Getting closer every day to mounting that core support Kevin!

Slowly been coming around. Almost ready to lite off, just waiting for a radiator. Rolling chassis is at 100%. Fenders are hung by the firewall with care in hopes that St. Buick soon will be there.... ws

Thanks Chief! This makes the 47th year for me 'n her! Dad bought the boat in 72, and died in '80; thats when it legally became mine. 1963 Chris Craft Roamer, aluminum, hull #6, 36 foot with 2 454 Merc Inboards. Time to get busy! Where in Elmhurst are ya? Dad lived with Gramma  at York and Butterfield on Concord.      Bill

Wow, small world. I am on the North Side of North Ave..... near West Ave and Noth Ave.

York and Butterfield is just 3 miles away from me. Keep that Yacht forever and enjoy it

I love being on the water....so relaxing and peaceful.

Ill be back in a while, but until then, I NEED A SET OF BBB CAST ALUMINUM VALVE COVERS! The tin covers (I have 3 sets) are just too cheezy and leak. Bill

Just a quickie update. Going to the muffler shop this morning. Everytime I start this guy, it runs better. Seven gallons of fresh gas on top of 5 thats 39 years old and a dose of Berrymans' B-12 cleaner and she's ready for the road LOL. 6 miles to the pipe bender. First run she boiled over with a stuck BRAND NEW chinaman T stat. Thats the 2nd one in a row. BOYCOTT Chang Chow Mfg. Now running wide open with the 1975 455 clutch fan and easier centrifugal weights in the HEI and it seems wayyy better. Full advance around 2000 rpm maybe? Best regards! Bill in TR
