My neighbor has this 68 Fury 1 2 Door sedan Long story short he got the car and took it apart to install his warmed up 340. He is moving next spring and has decided to not take it with him. After I wrecked my Biscayne he approached me with an offer to buy it cheep. I know the car because when he got it I helped him get it running And put a new gas tank in It. I got to inspect it then and fell in love with it! At the time it had a 318” and a 904 trans. He is keeping the 340/727 combo. I picked up the car for$1800.00 . His buddy has the 318/904 I can have it for$150.00. It needs a few things but for 1800 I couldn’t pass it up. My girlfriend Julie has been bugging me for a “vintage “ car for a while and I have been looking On and off for awhile. I’m sure that for around $3000 (total including the price of the car),I can put this car back together as a reasonable driver for her to enjoy. It’s from Nebraska and is really clean and I have about 95 percent of what I need to put it back together. Bonus is 3 fold. 1 it’s at the house I’m buying from him this spring 2 I don’t have to move it and 3 he is graciously letting me store my new to me 68 Biscayne in the garage untill I get my wrecked Biscayne apart and scrap the carcas. I will be putting this back together as a 2019/2020 winter project!😀 Here’s a few shots of it.

Yes Todd I believe he was looking for the fuselage body style 69 and up . I’m pretty sure he is in Florida. Don’t Remember his name though

Congratulations Larry. A great car for an even greater price. I reminds on my friend Rich's 67 Belvedere I. It 's a black/blue 383 4speed that he bought new. He is finishing up a total restoration and hopes to have it at MCACN next year. Dan, you may have met him at Lombard or Downers with his yellow Hemi Cuda he also restored.

Very cool! And even better that your girl friend wants a classic car! And, if you put it back together with the 318/904, the possibilities down the road are endless! I bet a modern hemi would fit in it real nicely! Or a nice 440!

Wow, cool car! Sounds like you have a good plan for it. But wouldn't be cool with a late model Hemi to go with your LS Biscayne? Plus that would make it a good driver for your girl!

Pat I have seriously considered getting ahold of a wrecked charger cop car for a late model driveline swap! For now it’s just going to get the original 318. I don’t think that Julie will drive it much. If and when she tires of it I’m really leaning towards a nasty 440 for it! 🏁☠️ It is going to be interesting to see how it evolves for sure.
Here’s a couple pics of it when my neighbor got it up and running

You`ll need a long trench coat and hat when driving this baby.......as she resembles the cars Peter Falk drove in Columbo
