1968 300 vs 300 deluxe door panels
Permalink

I've seen pics of two different types of the 1968 300 series door panel.

The plain 300 one with the embossed squares, and the 300 "deluxe" panel with the squares, but also a long horizontal white insert across the panel near the top.

Can anyone post up some photos of the front & rear panels of the second style (with the white stripe)?

My car has the first style, and I need to replace the vinyl along the tops, and i'm thinking i may try and replicate the deluxe style insert stripe to help lessen the contrast between the new vinyl on top and original vinyl on the bottom.

Thanks-

Dang... Now that I see that, I'm almost wishing I'd had legendary make my new covers w/ unpleated comfort weave inserts instead of the stock malibu style... would have been darn close to those originals (At a glance anyway).

With the original covers long since replaced, i feel i'm holding the line. Might have been different if it had still had the originals on the front and back... but that is one of the reasons i'm going to save the 300 style door panels. Unique is cool, and it was born with them.

But the buckets are part of the vision... Some parts are flexible, but others are simply required. The BBC, 4spd, and buckets (no console) are core to the vision for this.
