Question to Admins - I've posted in the classifieds about all these parts I have leftover... Rear end - new global springs - highly desirable complete 4 wheel drum brakes ( you know you want em') - some front end stock susp. components... anyway -
most of it I'd give away FREE ( less the new springs) but it all seems to be so desired that everyone figures it's gone already and doesn't respond. I'm also trying to cover my ass for the sacrilege of using the diff and rims on a BBQ smoker trailer I'm building from a 500gal propane tank - I don't wanna store it all indefinitely - so I'll either scrap it - make something from it etc...just pre-empting so I don't go to 2drpost hell for doing so LOL... jussa FYI

Tim, It sounds like you are making a great effort to find homes for your extra stuff. You won't get any flack from me if at some point it just has to go. Great progress getting the lift in place, now you can proceed at warp speed on your projects!

Ha as much as I like BBQ and the recipe you shared with me- I cannot get off my 12 bolt until it's in pieces that can't be repaired
I do however have the old 10 bolt with a 1 lung 3.23 gear set I'm more than willing to donate to the cause! I'm sure that ultra powerful 250 6 you had in your 67 just tore your 10 bolt axle up you can have mine for parts or make that BBQ trailer 4WD!!

I'm in complaint mode - have been bird dogging a FWD E brake cable - from the foot pedal to the underside of the car... I've bought 2 - they just aren't right - so... even after reading the many many many many terrible reviews for Impala Bobs - I found one - it wasn't marked as backordered - shipping was dang near the price of the cable - but oh well...I had a need. anyway - ordered on the 3rd - got an email confirmation same day - emailed on the 11th...no reply - called on the 11th - went thru the number menus and waited on hold for sales FOREVER- HOLY @$%!! - I'm pretty stupid but not stupid enuf to stay on hold 15 min... - hung up. so...yesterday - I send an email asking for my tracking number and was obligated to inform them of their awful cust service practices...got an email back!! - telling me my part was backordered and 2/3 weeks out...What the Hell?! - I guess Uncle Sam warped me a bit - so I proceeded to reply as to how it was not listed as out of stock when ordered and how &^%^&% -ed up this was... their reply was to canx my order ( which is fine)... but also seems epidemic in reading their reviews from yelp - facebook, google etc... I think these places like to bill you and ship whenever - free loans from customer basically... Homie don't play that! pretty piss poor practices - and I'm just the guy to call em out. Rant over... now then - can anyone point me to a forward E brake cable??? LOL

Tim try one of these. There are 2 different legnths per what engine/ trans is in the car. This applies for the cable that goes from the pedal to the crossover bar and also the connecting cable to the rear cables. A long intermediate cable is used with the 4 speed and manual 3 speed trans along with the powerglide cars. the cars equipped with the turbo 400 will use the shorter cable. The front pedal cable is different with these combos as well. I assume you did not have to move your trans cross member back with that turbo 200 trans you are running? These parts may work or not with the disc brake set up you have on the rear. You may have to make an intermediate cable yourself or find a parts store or online that has a catalogue that gives you the length in the listing.
This may help
www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet

The other place to check is Right Stuff Detaling. They have a variety of brake set ups for our cars and have lots of options for the e- brake cables

Good Luck
Larry
