Just a heads up. I pulled my axels out of my belair and needed to refill the axle with new lube and GM has replaced the part #8902167 with # 88900401.This is synthetic gl5.I have a eaton posi with the clutches and synthetic is (from what ive read) too slick for this. After some greasy hand research, I went with Valvoline 80/90. There is even more of a story with this but I thought I would let you all know if you need or care about it!

With all the cars I restore.....I always use Valvoline 80/90 Gear Oil with GM Posi Additive, I have never ever had an issue.

Good to know.

I used 80/90 with posi additive in my Belair.

Ugh. Gear oil. One day when I meet some of you. I will tell me gear oil story.
Or if I have time. I will type it up in the lounge.
