Did you raid my parts stash? I swear I have that exact stuff collecting dust in my garage: all except that recall lift set-up. Would you take the $30.00 shipped to Maryland zip 21152? I keep thinking I have a dillusional sickness about this stuff. I'm returning my Camaro to as-raced status, but I'm trying to buy stuff that would've been TAKEN OFF to initially build it INTO a race car! Well, not my car, because it was torn down the first day......long before they figured out they needed that bracket and cable. I have a mental disorder of some type!

Back in the day nobody thought these would become collector cars and if the stock parts weren't up to the task at hand they got pitched for better performance parts that were. Same deal with demo derby guys and oval track racers. All the stuff stripped off to build the racecar was thrown in the trash. I know some old timers that have now restored the same type of they used to favor as a demo derby car and heard stories of how they used to remove trim with an axe totally destroying it in the process of removal and 40 years later wishing they had carefully removed and saved it.

Dave I guess we all have the same mental disorder...

I had/have a garage full of parts that needed to go. Last weekend I attended the swap meet down in Penticton and came home with $2320.

Interestingly, some of the parts I didn't think would sell went like hotcakes. On the other hand I brought home stuff that I was sure was going to sell? Overall it was a good time.... catching up with old friends and enjoying the event. I can't believe I didn't buy anything other than a hotdog and a couple bottles of water.

Yup it was a very good day...Two weeks before I sold my fresh 427 roller engine along with a Tremec TKO 500 to a friend that's building a Pro Touring car. I'm in the process of re-installing the M21 in my Nova now.

It's been a good couple of weeks...the only thing is I have a lot more that needs to go.

I casually mentioned to my wife that when I die, make sure you don't sell my 'stuff' for what I told you I paid for it. Thank goodness she has a sense of humour. smile

This may be a long shot but do you still have the big block engine stop lift and cables for sale? Thanks
