There is a differance between disc brake and drum brake spindle's. You will need do to research on what needs to be cut off a drum brake spindle to make it work on a disc brake car. There is a lot of good info out there. Good luck.

thanks Dan...

I have a complete set of 67/68 Camaro & 68 Nova disc brake spindles, steering knuckles, backing plates & 4 piston caliper mounting brackets advertised for sale.

I've been contacted by someone with a 67 Chevelle wondering if they'll work on his car so I guess the question is will the spindles bolt in place without any modifications between the Chevelle ball joints.

If the DB set-up is coming off of a Camaro, they will have to be installed in reverse on the Chevelle. Example: The passenger-side DB assy from the Camaro will go on the drivers-side of the Chevelle.

Is the Chevelle rear steer or front steer?  I know the early Camaro and 2nd gen Nova are rear steer.

To make the camaro/nova units work on chevelle you just need to change the steering arms. No left and right swapping requirements. The calipers on the '69 single piston ones can be slightly different. I have a set of '69 camaro disc brakes on one my cars and I noticed the caliper hose position was different than the chevelle but the calipers could be from anything as the previous owner was a.wrecking yard hack and could hace pieced it together with whatever he found to fit on. It will get new calipers that are proper fitting for chevelle .
