My first Biscayne

Thought I would post a couple of pics of my first Biscayne from back in 1975, 427, 4 speed 390hp, only have a few pics, never really thought much about taking pictures of the cars back then, if I only knew. I bought it from my brother for $900.00, so he purchased a 1970 Boss 429. Sold it two years later for $1400.00 and still regretting it.

Love it......especially the air cleaner lid, brings back soooo many memories. Yeah if we could only have them back, I get it!

Thanks guys, lots of great memories. I didn't mind the manual steering back then, have to decide if I will put power steering in my new one. Geof

Very nice Geof, I see the resemblance in your last Biscayne purchase.

Oh man I love that Biscayne Geof! Kudos to you for having it tastefully done with nice rally wheels and no BS, especially for 1975 I'm impressed that it wasn't ruined with side pipes or jacked way up with too wide a tire, as a lot of cars I'm sure were outfitted in 1975.

Very cool, reminds me of my story. Can't wait to see where you go with your new one. Since my new Biscayne has power steering, I will make that concession for the sake of my 65 year old arms, lol. But if it didn't already have it, I would tuff it out! Really, I would!

Great car and story. Glad you got another one!
I'm with everyone else here. " steering by strongarm " I love mine and it's not bad at all even with the bigger tires

Thanks again for the compliments. There is a slight resemblance to my new one, just can't put my finger on it, LOL. I put the corvette rallys on shortly after I got the car, it had the dog dish caps when I got it.I also put the chrome valve covers on. Looks like the power steering by armstrong is the way I should go. I have tried to see if it is still around, not much luck with that search. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year. Geof
