That's awesome Larry! She looks great! Congratulation on an amazing and quick recovery from tragedy! Looking forward to the Sleeper Appearance Package! I may have to search for one of those too! Now remember, "Go on Yellow" is a drag strip thing!

Larry,

I had no doubt you would get this Biscayne done in record time.
Plus perfect timing.....to get her dialed in for the summer season.
Be safe, have fun and hope to see you soon my friend.

Dan

Love It.

I was among the first Buick guys to buy my Dog Dish Adapters from Steve.
They work great.....nice tight fit.
You can easily Drag race with them and do massive burnouts.....those Dog Dishes will never come flying off.

Looking great Larry.

That is just AWESOME!! The color is really growing on me. It really should be specified for the Sleeper Appearance Package! And I think the smaller rear tires work better too. Now you are inspiring me!

Well done!!

You guys are costing me $$. I've always liked the "poverty look" (just like me). I bought a set of adapters from "Buick" Steve. Now I'll have to get a set of Weld Drag Lites. I guess I'll have to eat Generic Alpo for a few months. My favorite line is "I'm on a fixed income." Ha ha. Thanks for the information.

A376A4C3-02BE-4D2B-9BB4-59A063BB5B23.jpegWell it’s way past time for an update here. Thanks for all the comments guys I really appreciate them.I really enjoyed the car over the summer and fall this year. Most of my outings were on weekends and  late at night. I definitely had a lot of fun with the car and hanging out with friends and meeting some new ones. I’m not really at liberty to give any details of the shenanigans due to legal reasons but I will say I witnessed some lively street action. I Kept a pretty low profile For most of the season. Around August I was Pretty comfortable with the car, getting a feel for the car and how it reacts and what it’s doing. I was able to accept a few “challenges “ I was a bit Leary because I still hadn’t been to the track to see how it performed this year. Well suffice it to say the car was able to pick off a 82 Camaro with a healthy 383. A 2016 Scat Pac Challenger that was stock except drag radials . A 04 GMC short box truck with a mild turbocharged 5.3 from a 30 roll where his 8 lbs of boost comes in. I had some trouble with a 71 427 small block Camaro he got me by about 3 cars. Anyway I was able to make it to the track in October for a test n tune and was able to get a couple passes in. The car picked up 7 hundreds of a second  from last years times. The car went 12.27 with a 5 at 111.52. I’m sure the ram air setup I made along with the shorter tires and having the trans calibration/ street tune from last year helped a bit. There may be a bit more in it but I definitely can tell now that the converter is to tight. I also know that the mild cam I’m running is not able to make good use of the ported heads I have on it. Playing around with tire pressure and getting a bit of wheel speed out of it didn’t make any real difference either. It became real apparent when my buddy watched a pass I made and we had a good discussion about the car. I knew this going into it and don’t regret setting it up a bit conservatively. Now that I have a bit of seat time in it I definitely want more out of it ,go figure. I’m thinking a cam and converter change are in order. Plans are to do this and have it ready for the next season.
Here’s a few pictures from the track and a link to the run against the 71 Camaro

Larry,

You're my HERO!

You sent me that video over the summer.....I must have watched it a dozen times.....my heart races every time I see it.
You are doing and living life just as I did back in the late 70's early 80's. Late night street racing.....nothing like it.

Love it!

You're Living The Dream! Be safe.

Dan

Just a quick update. I have talked to Chris at Circle D about my converter and it’s a go to get it loosened up to a 4000 stall. I also received my cam and related valvetrain components. I’m planning on doing this in March when the weather breaks a bit. This will give me enough time to get the work done and get some Dyno and street tuning In before the season starts  I’ll keep everyone updated as I go along. I’m looking forward to seeing if I can get this heavyweight into the high 11’s without Nitrous lol.

Great jobLarry with the looser converter and cam it’s gonna fly! If you mount slicks start doing neck excercises now to prep for that brutal launch at the track👍

Good choice Larry! Your car is going to be a missile, that is all the cam! I really don't think that you'll have much trouble breaking into the 11s with that setup
