Tim. Your right turbos have been part of the plan since the inception of this build. Good call I will order a set and definitely make sure there added to the car as I bring it back from the ashes!
Here’s a peak at the tubuskies. There electric so they won’t rob me of any power that an exhaust driven turbo would .Lmao!

Dont laugh to hard - in reality Audi has been working on the concept to eliminate turbo lag. For now plans still call for a little tickle of spray! Man next season is gonna be FUN

Before I started the tear down I fired up the car to make sure everything was ok with the engine all good. Ive been picking at it a little but yesterday the 23 rd I got serious about tearing down the car,I gutted the interior etc. I have been going through some of my junk around here in anticipation of the move next spring and throwing all the scrap metal into the shell as I go. It all adds up at the yard when I haul it off. Here’s a few pics of the progress.

I think you might have bonked your head a teeny bit...otherwise you'd be gettin a 67...I mean it's obvious!! (kiddin as usu... itll be cool to have some parts from the Beast included in the new one. without a history and knowing where you've been it's not as fun to get where you're goin!!)

F5E6AE98-BAA1-4E99-B81C-2699275055E7.jpegWell here’s an update on the ongoing saga of the Beast. The blue car was gutted and for sale in December. No real bites so December 22 the shell went to scrap. I then brought the new car home. I cleaned and degreased it under the hood and chassis a bit. The paint was really faded etc, I made the decision to rub it out. It’s still horrible just shiny now. I also made a few decisions on what to change on this one. I am not painting anything on the chassis or anything else. I only had  hood open at the employee car show last year and never revealed it on the street. The car will be getting 28x10.5 on the rear as that’s what i originality planed with the 4.56 gears. I also put the stock Spindles back on the front when I refurbished the front end. I am using the stock height rear springs as well. As it stands right now the new car has new body bushings and the front and rear suspension from the blue car are under it. I have gutted the interior and will be installing the AMERICAN Autowire harness from the blue car. I replaced the leaky heater core while I had it tore down. I have installed 12”’ Wilwood 4 piston disc brakes all around and am in the process of plumbing them up along with the line loc. The goal with this one is basically stock height and very low key. A real sleeper, something you’ll walk or Drive right past and not give it a second thought. That’s why I elected to not do any painting of anything. Not that I don’t appreciate super nice cars But I have a soft spot for mediocre to crappy looking street sweepers  Ill keep you all posted as I continue to progress.

Larry

This was kinda neet as well the previous owner had found and installed the rare front disc brakes on the front. I’m not using them as I have the Wilwood’s so they went to my buddy who has a real deal 68 SS Impala.

Right on! Lookin' good, Larry. I, too, like the "walk right past it" cars. Only people who know what they're looking at would have a clue. As a Buick guy, I'm used to people walking past.

Nice progress! Real surprised someone did not want those beautiful quarter panels. I really like the q-ship theme. What gear did you have in the original?

Thanks Brad that’s to funny. I figured people would know and respect the BA Buick of yours!!
Pat the 1/4’s on the blue car we’re shaky at best and the right side had a buckle and dent in it from the impact of the collision. When I set up the blue car I installed 4.56 gears. I had done the math for a 28“ tall tire. Then I put on the 30’s because I liked the way it they looked. I knew it would decrease the performance a bit. I was warned about that and having a lowered car would effect its performance as well. So now it’s a small tire stock height car. With the suspension, ram air and a few other tweeks I’m looking forward to this season of getting a handle on the chassis and how to launch it for maximum performance.

BEF4CF0E-3FA3-461D-BDAC-CE7D2A71ABA9.jpegJust a quick update.
Over the weekend I finished plumbing the brake system with the line loc. Adjusted the brake pedal play and bled the system, all good there. Today the Lump of an L/S fell into the engine compartment. Trans is next. I think I can reach My goal of March 1 st to at least have it fired up and moving under its own power.
Thanks to all for tuning in on this channel of Two Door Post!

BD3CBE3F-387F-47DB-AE32-433EA5FD580B.jpegHere’s a quick update on my progress. Today March 10th I started the car for the first time. I have a few things to do yet under the hood and under the car. I let it run for about a 1/2 hour to top off the fluids etc. So far so good. In my excitement I forgot to wire the fuel pump relay and hook up the fuel pump wires to the battery lol. It didn’t take me long to figure out my mistakes and correct them. It lit right off once I cycled the fuel pump a couple times. Next is a minor freshen up to the interior I’m hoping to be able to drive it in a couple weeks.
Here’s a link to the start up

I’ll keep you all “posted”

Outstanding! I see one of the most important components is still missing, no loud pedal! I know it will be in place soon. I like the color of the new Beastcayne.
