Thank you Mr Clarke. Nice to see you here !! Hope all is well.
Pat you hit the nail on the head the whole car is BS. A Facade all of it lol, all part of the plan hehe! I’m planning on Leaving the hood closed if I can manage it. The only trouble I see with that is the guy that sold me my fuel and trans lines wants a tech afx decal under the hood. I’ll ill tell him I’ll just put them on the glass for the show or bring my leftover magnet and put them on the body for the show if I can get away with it lol. All part of the game. 👍🏽👍🏽

All is well, Larry. I still check the place out daily, I just haven't been logging in or posting. I love the idea of the vintage decals on the magnetic sheets.

Well today March 1st was my move in day,all went well. I went to my buddy’s and we went and got the trailer, came back loaded up the Beast and were on our way. We had a small reprieve in the rain,on the way there it started pouring lol. Much better than the snow that came later in the day! I wiped the car down and got it set up quickly so I could mill around and see some cool cars.
Here’s a few shots of my spot

The show went well, I had a great time and answered many questions from Onlookers. I heard many great stories about these old Biscayne’s Impalas and Caprices.Lots of people couldn’t figure out what my car was so it was fun explaining what a 2 Door Sedan is and the difference between them and a hardtop.
Just a quick update-I have removed all the stickers and lettering etc, Swapped out the front wheels and tires and fixed a few little items that needed addressing. I took the car out Sunday the 11 for a spin and got a few pictures of the final set up. It looks pretty much how I envisioned it. I have a few more items to sort out before I get it tuned. I made a call to the tuner and were just playing it by the weather right now. I will let you all know how it goes!
Thanks for tuning in
Larry

Looking good...real good! If you don't mind me asking, what size are the rear tires?

Thank you gentlemen for taking notice and the kind words. I agree with you all The car does look a bit aggressive lol! I’m hoping I have enough under the hood to back up its looks !
Cal- the rear tires are 295/65x15 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S, they measure out to 30x12.5. I have them mounted on 15X10 weld draglites, the backspace is 4.5”. Thanks for asking! Just a FYI for anyone wanting to fit this size on a 65-66 you will need to modify your spring pocket so they are flat. The largest tire I have seen without this modification is a 275/60x15 mounted on a 15x8” rim. I’m not sure of the backspace. This 66 has had the work done to fit the Big 295’s
