Wait! I didn't post the pic of the blonde. Postman bombed the thread with some eye candy...that's fine.

Another 8 hours into fitting and prepping a rear fender cheek. A little more work before it's welded in place.

A 15 year project is in the final phase.  Shell got sent out a week ago and I'm freshening up the frame as well as chassis assembly (brakes, plumbing, engine-trans-diff, steering, suspension).  Did the frame 12 years ago, it got crusty from sitting so long.  Feel free to zoom in for 65-66 reference.  I took the pics with a digital SLR.  You see the lighter open channel frame, front end, plumbing, and a freshly painted 10 bolt cover/12 bolt 8.875" ring 3.42 Saf-T-Track.  Swapped out the original "Wonder-Touch" steering gear for a AGR Saginaw quick ratio.  I bought it 10-12 years ago before I knew I could get my original converted.  Hope it works as expected!

For brakes I'm running 4 wheel drum with a single resevoir manual.  Steering linkage is bone stock old Saginaw parts, with the original drag-link!  New ball joints, KYB Gas-a-Just shock, PST large anti-sway bar.  In back it's bone stock with the addition  of a 71-76 B Body rear anti sway bar.  New Detroit Eaton coil springs all around, and Moog rubber bushings all around too.

Got a little technical, but some folks dig that.IMG_4670.JPGIMG_4678.JPGIMG_4680.JPGIMG_4686.JPGIMG_4689.JPG

I've worked on it everyday for a week...at least 50 hours into it. On Sunday the engine and trans get dropped in...now that's something to get fired up about.

The Blackhawk is a Model S-13. It's in decent working condition for its age, but it needs a complete restoration. I'll reference Garage Journal to get that done.

How's this for a combo of dash parts?  My car didn't come this way, it was originally a standard dash with AM radio and clock.

Now it has: Factory Tach, Oil Pressure, Temp, Vacuum, Fuel w/ Low Fuel Warning Light, Battery, AM/FM Radio, Rear Speaker Switch, Rear Defog Switch.
