Excellent pictures of such a great piece of art. I wished I could have bought the car but am so glad it went to a great home where it will be well taken care of and respected.

Well Done!!

It runs great on the highway and bias ply tires are fantastic as the make the no power steer thing not a problem. The car has 4.11 gears so gas mileage is lousy not to mention the cost of fuel in New Zealand is ridiculous so it costs $160 to fill from empty. I have not had it at the drag strip yet and to be honest i am really conscious of hurting it anyway but the plan is to give it a run in the next few months.

Thanks for the welcome

                  Thanks for the reply

sounds like you have enough power to run some 2.73 gears and get some mileage

make sure at the track you don't hold it "over" 6500 before you pop the clutch  lol

I am really digging those front tires with the little "diamond nubs" and want a set for my Olds. I REALLY want Stahl, but doubt if I'll ever see a nice set, much less be able to afford them. What brand and size are yours and where did you get them? GREAT color, stance, everything!!!

They are Firestone tyres from Coker tyres and are dot approved. It's a great tyre unless it it is even a little wet out then forget it. If you are going to beat on the they really need heat in them

I just was reading this post again Dave and i see you actually refer to the front tires not the rears as i replied to. The fronts are a great tire from Coker also and they are really good on the highway and all round. The only comment is that with a big car and a lot of weight it is pretty easy to over drive them if you get into a corner to fast but otherwise no issues. I have exactly the same tires on my hotrod roadster and have never had any issues with them. hope this helps regards Mark
