Agree - I was surprised when I saw it but I guess it's to the owner's taste.

Not digging the skirts myself but the car is very nice. My friend locally has quite a few 67/68/69Biscaynes/Belairs and recently bought a very rusty low mileage 67 Caprice 4 door w/396/th400/12 bolt that runs, the body is very rough but many many parts useable. We are planning taking the frame/driveline out of the 4 door and placing it under one of his 67 Biscaynes.

That car is bad to the bone. Not feeling the wheels, but those are easily swappable.

I'm afraid that to me this altered wheelbase thing just messes up an otherwise neat car.  I hate this look for this car.

I can appreciate an altered wheel base car all day long but it has to be done in a way that a legit NHRA racer would have done plus look period correct. Over the years have seen many 4 door cars/wagons converted to 2 doors that look like they belong in a Shriners parade. This car above took some determination and skill to accomplish,I can appreciate that but the look is just too far off for me to grasp. To each their own.

Was just informed of this site by a fellow Flickr member. Pretty cool.

You guys might appreciate the Flickr photo group I started a couple years back:

Here's a few pics of my jalopy (with various wheel combos I've run over the years):

Dan, that black Bel Air is not mine, although I sure wish it was mine. The owner has owned it since '71. It came equipped with L72, M22, 4.88, and F41
