1969 SPECIAL DELUXE ON THE ROAD

I finally got my 69 Buick Special Deluxe back on the road, as near as I can tell some time in 2001 the previous owner appeared to spin the 350 Buick motor beyond its design limits and blew holes in both sides of the block.

I installed a 1969 350 Buick motor and a TH350 trans, the car was in excellent condition considering it sat in a field for 17+ years in Montana virtually zero rust and surprisingly no mice

I installed 14 X 8 gm Rally rims and Buick derby center caps with 235/60/40 front  245/60/14 rear  I like the subtle but mean look

1 1/4" sway bar front 7/8" bar rear   car drives straight and handles great, I added power brakes as well

My plan is to keep it looking barn find looking so instead of over cleaning I left it as if its always been this way    the body i'm leaving scratched and dented for now at least anyway

Next year my plans are 2004R and 3.90 posi with headers and more cam but I needed to get it registered and see how solid the car was

Thanks this is the look I was going for stealth I have many types of rims and tires for her I even have a set of old Cragar SS that I love too but make it too bling for my vision of this car
