After 25 years of making excuses for not upgrading my 300 Chevelle, everything sort of come together. Having an accumulation of parts from 30 years of racing and collecting, my son and I thought it might be a good time to assemble some motors from the random mountain of stuff and maybe make it easier to sell as complete motors rather than selling individual cams, heads blocks intakes etc. So we built 2 small blocks and 2 big blocks. The big block that went in the Chevelle is 505" 570 HP. We also had a 2:64 Super T10 which was real nice. Had headers an aluminum radiator and other assorted parts I had gathered over the years in preparation for the big upgrade. The hood wouldn't fit, a 2' steel cowl hood wouldn't work so had to go fiberglass, which I didn't want to do. The last Harwood stuff I bought was 30 years ago and it was really junk. But, they had a 4' hood that used conventional hinge mounts and hood latch so I went for it. Thing changed in 30 years at Harwood, the hood was perfect. Only thing is that getting it and getting it on the car painted totaled over $1000, but no choice. IMG_20170419_164216705_HDR.jpgIMG_20170819_162851112.jpgIMG_20170819_162903891.jpgIMG_20170819_162931558.jpg
