Incredible find! I wonder if the components that were removed for the day 2 mods are still present?

As I have said....many many times, "They are still out There"

Plus I believe more and more will be coming out.....as we are experiencing the Baby Boomers passing away, Sad

Very interesting car, confusing to me why someone would have such a car and not drive and enjoy it more than that. Especially after going to the effort to install the Day 2 mods. It's like having a thoroughbred race horse and never riding it or allowing it to be ridden. Also from the video, it seems the second owner was a woman and she had it all those years and let it sit so long. Did she buy it for someone, perhaps a soldier who did not return? Would be interesting to know "The rest of the story" on this one.

So if one of you acquired it, what would you do with it?

1. Try and find parts to return/restore it to original?
2. Preserve it as it is?
3. Drive and enjoy it on a limited basis?
4. Drive the wheels off it?
5. Keep it or flip it as an investment?

I think I would go with #3

Pat

I would DEFINETELY find and source out all the correct GM date coded parts.....but I would NOT put them on this Chevelle.
I would preserves, enjoy and show the car just as she is......this car is amazing. But remember.....one has a much different mind set when a car is insured between $150K-$200K.

Pat I am certain there is a good story being all the questions

I have seen a lot of "Benchmark" Chevelle's in my time.....this one may CERTAINLY make all the others look like Weathered Vechicles, obviously excluding the Day2 parts.

Being a Buick fan. What's the lowest mile 70-72 Stage 1 found to date? Lowest mile GSX found to date? I remember seeing a 10000 miles 72 Stage 1 about 25 years ago.

There are a few well known documented low mileage 1972 Buick GS Stage1's.....Then there is John Chamberlain's 1970 GS with the all White Interior and all "Clear" glass that was strictly used as a show car for the GM show circuit. Then there is Brad Conley's Experimental Buick GSX.....both Stellar and Historic Buicks.

Very cool that he has met the original owner, hopefully he has the rest of the story of why it was parked for so long.
