I was wondering if anyone would know if a 1968 B body 4speed steering column would be the same as a 1969 B body?

   Thanks  Geof

In an A body.....they are definitely different.

Having said that.....I would say B body's are different.

Geof there's a big difference between 68 and 69 B body columns. The big one being in 69 the ignition key is in the column. In 68 the key was still on the dash. The part number for the non tilt floor shift column for the 1968 is 7803526. The part number for the 69 non tilt floor shift column is 7804297. Acording to my interchange book.Hope this helps.Sorry for the sideways pic

IMG_5618.JPGYou bet Geof. It's this one I found it online for about $8 USD. I think I just did a google search - interchange manual 68 Impala and it came up.It is just a partial and does not cover everything. Just a lot of the hard parts.

I got mine from my local speed shop a few years ago. I also have a gm parts catalog that was printed in late '74 that covers '65-'75 full size chev.

Thanks Geof
