69 Chevelle rear quarter window weatherstripping
Permalink

Hello All,

I have just gotten to some of the interior refurbishing on my 69 project. I removed the weatherstipping from the rear window and the channels that are screwed into the body. One of the pieces of stripping has a 4" piece of channel actually pop riveted to one end. Has anyone seen this and is there any specific replacement weatherstripping that anyone has found?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Hi Chuck,

No one reproduces the rear quarter glass channel....one of the hardest parts to find on a 1968-69 Post Sedan Chevelle.
You can probably make something if you are creative....but will not be as correct or accurate as what GM made.
Plus removing the channel form a donor car can be a challenge....unless you know how to properly remove the channel, it usually ends up in a damaged part. I ASSUME YOU DAMAGED YOURS AS YOU ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE IT?

Finding an NOS Channel is next to impossible

Sorry for not being more of a help.....it is what it is.

Dan
