According to this book, Ford Motor Company in 1969 install 429 4V in Ford, Mercury, T-Bird and Meteor.

In the past I owned a 1969 Ford with a 429 4V, (4 speed). It was a XL.

I supposed that the Mercury cousin is a Cyclone.

Thunderbird speaks for itself...but what was the Meteor model with a 429 4V?

Found on search......"Meteor" was a own brand for the Canadian market. Ford took the bodies from Mercury with parts from Ford and sold it in Canada as Meteor.

I think that the big Mercury in 1969 is a Marauder instead of a Cyclone.

Four décades ago I bought a top of the line 1966 Météor convertible for the 390 engine but I can't remember the model name...
