Window channel, ...... Any post kits out there ?

Would like to change the window channel as long as the new interior is a plan.  Haven't seen any advertised from Steel or additional suppliers.  Most of the posts I have viewed have suggested Impala packages.  Just a thought maybe the four door Impala series would work out.    Still would require some bending, cutting for the smaller rear windows.

Correct....window channels are mostly generic....especially for any and most post sedan models.....I buy mine in lengths and cut to fit.
I buy mine from here:

The page shows 4 each 18" long for $125.00 ?? That might be enough to do the lower door channel but I was referring to the exposed window pieces. A lot of splicing with such short pieces. Unless there are longer pieces I am not finding.

Pick up the phone and call them.

They can make you a custom order.

I may have to finance the car to buy the window channel . At $1.74 per inch, for all four windows I can use a total of 17'. At the price quote it comes to $354.96 plus the sales tax. A high price to keep the door glass in place. There must be an alternative for the more economical owners.

Find a junk yard or parts car.....but that is not so easy anymore either. Get on a few other larger group web sites and ask for who`s got any?

I got it from my local glass shop that also deals with classic cars. I think 8 foot strips were $32.

Wow, great info.  I was just agonizing about checking a yard for something similar, but this will work out .  I guess my google searches need more depth.

Thanks !
