New Just wanted to stop by and say Hi!! I'm a 20+ year drag racing and pro street veteran just starting on a 1964 Malibu 2 door post car I bought off a friend who had it in dry storage for past 12 years. I look forward to sharing my progress with everyone. I'm building this car for my wife to be able to cruise around in. She has always wanted a 64 chevelle and I could'nt pass up this 2 door post from California. It's amazing how nice it is to be able to work on a car that's not from the rust belt. I still can't believe that all the bolts and nuts that still come apart without breaking!!! I'm starting at the front suspension with tubular control arms and disc brake setup and working my way back to the rear end. I haven't decided on what sbc power plant yet but I'm liking all of the L79 talk I'm seeing!! Thanks Mike

Welcome Mike,

Indeed, there is nothing better than restoring a dry west coast car.....even sweeter that is it a Post Sedan.

L79 is The Perfect Choice. Keep the pics coming.

Welcome from West Chester PA. I love the project, and so great to start with a great base from the west. I love the first pic: Sunny day, gazing onto the new project while it's still on the flatbed, pondering over a few cold ones "do we go 6 speed manual, or auto overdrive trans....big block or small block" ah the planning stages.

Did it come with all the exterior trim and emblems? Hope so.
