I was wondering if someone could tell me if a frame from a 69 Biscayne is the same as all the 69 Impalas ( other than convertible)   Thanks   Geof

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Any ideas what a very clean, blasted and powder coated frame would be worth?

Just the frame alone? Or a complete frame with control arms, springs, spindles, etc.

Bare frame without suspension freshly pulled from car at wrecking yard in Wa. state sells for $700 last time I checked. I have seen them sell for $150-$750 bare or rolling.depends on who is selling it. Hardtop/sedan/wagon frames are all the same.

It is just a bare frame, nothing on it. It is in excellent condition. That one on craigslist looks like a good deal. Thanks for the help. This will help me price the frame. Geof

If yours is really nice.....not pitted. I would use that to your advantage, really stress the fact that it is in really good shape.
I am always willing to pay a little more for a very nice part.

I say you should be able to get $500 for it to the right buyer.

'65-'66 frames differ from the '67-'70s, rear crossmember/upper trailing arms are different

'65-'66 idler arm bolts through the frame rail

'67-'70 drag link and pitman arm and the rag joint are different than '65-'66 as well. The tierods mount on the opposite side of the drag link on '67-'70 as well to make them run parallel to drag link instead of angled. Body mount holes are bigger in '67-'70 and the mounts near the rear lower arm mounts are square in '68-'70

Wow, thats some great info. Now you got me wondering............could you bolt a 65 body on a 69 frame without mods?  Bumper mount holes and such are all the same?
