Driveshaft length...

Can anyone measure the length of their driveshaft from their '65-'66 Biscayne/BelAir. I have 2, and they are 1/2" difference in overall length from u-joint boss to u-joint boss.

Much appreciated.smile

Geof, Is that center of u-joint to center of u-joint?

More importantly.....what is the current driveline with this measurement of 63.5 inches. Just helping out....nothing worse than get a driveshaft made and it is not correct

No, it was from the outside edge of the end of the driveshaft to the outside edge, not including the yoke. I just went and measured from the center to center of the u-joint, it was 62 1/4 inches. Geof

Geof,
I checked the measurement you gave me, and it's SPOT ON. 62-1/4" from center to center, and 63-1/2 from edge to edge.

That also jives with a measurement someone else gave me on ChevyTalk, from their '66 Impala SS. I got his info after yours.

Thanks very much. Time to begin restoration on it.
