Kevin, The Day 2 moniker came about because most folks personalized their cars back in the day. I think it is more representative of what you would see on the street in the 60s and 70s. Enjoy! Pat

And so I just picked up a key piece of the hot rod recipe.  A fully restored 1968 model year Muncie M-20 which is a good replacemenot for my factory Saginaw since it’s the same ratios, 27-10 splines, and drivers side speedo, just need to grab a few things for shifter linkage needs.  BTW much stronger even though you guys know that👍

Wow, nice! Have you figured out what car it originated in? I'm envious of the '68 tranny. Pat

Pat, here's the details on the Muncie.  It has date code P8T13 (M 20 for model year 1968 built December 13th, 1967)

VIN code 28P232084

The seller listed it as a 1968 Pontiac GTO/Firebird transmission.  If you try the link, the ad might still be up:

Good find and a fair price, especially for a refreshed unit!

Thanks Pat, exactly what I thought as well. Around here, folks are posting Craigslist ads for worn out old Muncies that have been in someone’s swamp for close to what I paid for the rebuilt unit you see in the ad. A lot trying to cash in on the “Muncie allure”
