This is my Oshawa built, numbers-matching 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 350 with 4 speed manual trans project.  Car is in its original dark red metallic paint, originally came with full white vinyl top (previous owner removed it), F41 suspension, gauge package, swivel bucket seats and console.  Today I ordered the Canada GM documentation.

Only hings missing are 3 of its original rally caps, distributor (someone swapped in an HEI), and thr exhaust manifolds (has white hr

Kevin,

I am soooooo happy for you

This is a very cool Chevelle. I do not want to get you too excited.....You will be VERY PLEASED at how rare of a Chevelle this is.....since she is a Canadian Chevelle, EH!

Plus if the Canadian Docs break it down that it is a 4 Speed, plus White VT....may be a one of only a handful

Do keep us POSTED!

Dan

Thanks guys! Trying to have reserved optimism but I'm really stoked!

The trans is a Saginaw, but from what I understand, in 73 if u got the ss 350 and wanted a 4 speed u got the M20, which could have been Sag or Muncie, and maybe by 73 the M20 was only Sags by then, I don't know.

I will look for the VIN stamp on the trans. and report back. The engine is stamped with 131406407 K06 30 GKB and the 406407 is the last 6 of my VIN :)

Kool ride you picked up there. What are your plans for it. Many year back two of my friends had a pair of those. Both 350 4 gears.
I remember the swivel buckets.

My brothers 75 442 had the same buckets. I thought they were the coolest thing as a kid

My plans are to restore it factory eventually, but before U go whole hog I wanna drive it and do little parts of it as I go.

Tonight I went underneath it (didnt decode the trans yet) but found the rear differential stamping CJ on the front of the passenger side axle tube which according to the G3GM website means 3:42 posi! Man, this just keeps gettin' better!  Check it out, it still has the spiral shocks in the rear and original coil springs with the red tag:

Cool. A friend of mine back in the early '90s had one of those cars. 454 with a muncie 4 speed 3.42 posi and it was black on black with swivels and pw and tinted glass. Original owner had dealer install 3.73 gears when car was a month old. I think it also came with vette style 15x7 rallies. That's what was on it when he got it from original owner.

I got my Canadian docs!  I hope you guys can read it by zooming in but let me knowif you can't.  The package came with a 19 page 1973 specifications packet as well, a restorers dream!.

Looks like I gotta take another one for the team and find front and rear bumper guards, man I never liked them or the vinyl top. But I gotta stay true to original (that's my desire)

It would be subtle, and still look original.

I used to have a '75. Maroon with Tan interior. Had the larger quarter window tho. 350 with the large 2-bbl, bench seat, posi, corvette ralley's.
Traded it for a K5 Blazer. I saw it a few years later, beat to hell. Saddened me to see it like that.

Hehe the Leno look! I know exactly what you mean Lawrence, good one!

That bumper makes for a nice place to kneel while working on the front of the engine, already made use of it :)

Sure.  Go to:

www.vintagevehicleservices.com

On the site they have information on the services they can provide.  I ordered a Request for Vehicle Option information.  This cost about $76 U.S. dollars and some change (plus exchange rate charge of a few bucks) since I accepted regular mail delivery (about 1 week for me to get).  There is also a next-day option by fax if needed, which is an additional charge.  It's best to email the following person, and they will ensure you get the correct form to fill out by pper, and then you fax it in to them.   They are good about calling/texting you quickly if there are any issues with your request.
