how do you tell a convertible frame from a hardtop frame.

The Convertible frame is boxed.....much more rigid.

I figured it was boxed. Just wondered if that's what's under my car. Seem boxed to the back. The guy was building with with a torque monster motor for the track.

B-body cars '65-'70 have box beam frames. Conv frames have wider and thicker inner rails that require an shorter trans x-member.

Convertible frames also have an extra body mount on each side mid span between the front and rear for support.
