On a quest for traction, anybody tried moroso trick springs
Permalink

My chevelle has always had traction problems. This year I'm going on a quest for TRACTION! The frontend doesn't rise much on launch, so I'm thinking of trying moroso or santuff springs in the frontend.Anybody tried these, any other brands? I've already got adjustable control arms in the rearend and pinion angle set at 3 degrees, sticky et drag radials.Best time is 12.01 / 116 in Dallas. Looking for better.Suggestions welcomed! Thanks in advance my friends.180.jpg

What kind of 60' times are you getting? I don't recall if this car is a stick or automatic? What shocks do you have in the front and rear?

60 ft are in the 1.80-1.90 range. car is a manual shift Tremec tko 5 speed. shocks are comp engineering set at old school 90\10 front 50\50 rear.anything over idle at launch results in smoke. engine dyno,ed at 602 hp\603 trq.

Lose the radials. The don't work well on stick cars.

Maybe you could borrow a set of regular slicks to see how much of a difference they make. That way you would know if it is the tire that is not working.

Slicks would give me better traction over drag radials anyday.just trying to hook what I got better. My best et was a 12.01@116 ,7.80 1/8 mile. 116 mph should be at least mid 11s?

Do you know anyone running who runs Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags or the Factory Appearing Stock Tire racers, which yours would be a great candidate for.  They seem to know how to get them to hook, and they are on street tires.
