Wow. Very nice work my friend.
That Pypes system. Is it something you ordered was it the system front to back. What muffler did you use
When I get to that point on my car I am going to use Thrush turbo400 or closest to it
Always love the sound of them.

Thanks!

I used their complete Street Pro system with the x pipe and mufflers. It was the header or crossmember back system and I had to purchase collectors separately. Got everything from Summit Racing. I was not ecstatic with the sound of the mufflers at first, but now I am quite happy with them. I will say that you want to weld it together, at least back to the front of the mufflers, for best results.

Thanks! It's getting closer to done. Waiting on a few little things I bought off EBay to get here, tail light lenses, fan shroud etc. The radio 8 track I bought did not fit right after all, so I am attempting to repair the old one. Got the messed up antenna lead fixed today, now am trying to figure out how to clean and lube the tuning and push button mechanisms. I want new springs and shocks for the back and also a factory appearing F41 style sway bar. And I am going to rewrap the wiring under the hood to get rid of the split-loom that was installed at some point. I also got some manual seat tracks that I need to install. As all this is being done, I plan to drive it and enjoy it. It is going to Hot August Nights in Reno the first week in August.

Absolutely, certainly will see some post cars there. If you get the chance to come to Hot August Nights I recommend it. It's a week of 5000+ classic cars all over town, along with lots of classic music, cruises every night, a drag race venue, lots of show and shine competitions if you are in to that, a swap meet and recently added a Barrett-Jackson Auction. One cool thing is it is not just cars parked, people are driving them all over town. I love it because for 5 days my classic is the only car I have to drive. www.hotaugustnights.net/

Ok so here we are in the bright sunshine

I also got the AM/FM 8 track working today, mostly needed some cleaning and lubrication. Once I figured out how it worked it was not too difficult. Yeah I know, a little fancy for a Biscayne, but I like to have some tunes.

the only thing that would make those tires look better is if there was smoke pouring of them

The Hankooks are only on the front so smoke not so much on them.  The BFG T/As on the back that's different.  That happens from time to time, happened today in fact as I was coming up a freeway on ramp! It's fun watching cars shrink in your rear view mirror.

I'll be listening for your mates at HAN. smile

Today I did one of those projects that looks the same before and after. I found some manual seat adjustment tracks on EBay to replace the electric seat controls, not working, in the car. My wife helped me wrestle the seat in and out and the switheroo was not difficult. I ran power to the electric controls and discovered there was a direct short somewhere, wires got hot fast. Explains why it was not hooked up. I figure this took about 40 pounds out of the car, should be good for a couple hundredths right?

I am also convinced that whenever they did the upholstery they did not rebuild the seat. You really sink into it a long ways and I only weigh about 175. Anybody have an idea where to get new seat foam and springs? Not sure exactly what I need. Pat

I am blessed with an indulgent wife. She's not really a car person, but she will help when I need a 3rd or 4th hand, if doesn't take too long. She is an excellent brake pumper. She also comes along to cruise nights sometimes, but all day car shows not so much. I had my original Biscayne when we met and our 2nd or 3rd date was to the drag races, so she knew what she was getting into.   She has put up with me for 42+ years, I think I will keep her.

Sounds a lot like my wife not a car gal really but it makes her happy that I am happy and she knows how much I love cars. She will also come out for a couple of hours but that's her lot. Great woman though.
