WOW!!! Congrats Ryan!!! Way cool!!!! I'm here to help, Bro. PM me or call anytime with questions or needs. Very happy for you, my friend. Great to have another Olds guy In the mix. Please call or ask before jumping in with feet.........some of the Oldsmobile stuff can be finicky and hard to find. The Olds guys are a great group and we all kinda know and look out for each other. Again, congrats and glad to help anytime.

Congrats Ryan!!

Welcome to the POST car family.

It will be fun to see it go down the track at PSMCDR 2016, with Jamie leading your pit crew.

Congratulations Ryan! A local car to boot. W-31s are cool cars for sure.

Way to go Ryan!
Even though it's not the Chevelle post sedan you were looking for, it is definitely a very great car to own. biggrin
Gotta love the W-31, and being the 2nd owner is just icing on the cake.
I look forward to hearing about what you do with her.

Please let me clarify the W-31 call outs for 1969. They were all decals that matched the hood stripe color. No metal emblems---they were 1970, and no "Ram Rod" they were 1968. The OAI breather lid carries a sticker that says "Ram Rod 350" but nowhere else on the car is than term used. The trim level does not affect this.
Ryan, there are some very pricey items that are unique to that car: the big harmonic balancer and 7029255 Q-Jet are the hardest to find and most expensive. The true original camshaft is tough, too. Don't make any hasty decisions or purchases without doing homework first.

Anyone else bothered by that short block assembly just sitting the the bare trunk? I wouldn't want to damage the car or the engine in transit.

Dave is dead on correct - I knew that they were decals.

Ryan transported the engine in his regular car

The car came with a new set of W31 emblems, and as per the original owner the carb is original and has been repaired or rebuilt locally. I have to start looking at part numbers and understanding this car better as time goes on!!

You need a much better Avatar picture, this one is way too dark in time.

Congratulations Ryan, I'm glad you were able to pull the trigger - you'd probably be kicking yourself HARD if you'd passed on it. Big thanks to Pete also, and welcome to the site!
