The R3 is actually a much more powerful motor than the R4. Forced induction seems to trump dual 4 barrels. Plus the Plain Brown Wrapper, while pure stock, has certainly gone through years of testing and tweaking. There is an R4 car that I think has run at the PSMCDR. Pretty sure he has run low 14s with it. It is still being sorted out.
