Had a 67 Chevy II post years ago, had a 230 standard on the column in it.
Was my winter beater, I could drive through 2 foot snow drifts and keep going with that puppy.

I know it looks like nothing, but this one sure was tempting a few years ago. The reason it was so tempting is the pedigree. 65 Acadian 2 door post, documented 327/250 hp 4 speed. Also, very low body number, I think it was body number 84 or something like that.

I wonder if it was cheaper to buy a Chevy II equipped the same way?

No idea. I think I still have his number somewhere.  Such a rare car, but such a MAJOR project...

John,

That's a great looking '64!!! Super looking engine compartment, a beautiful cobalt(?) blue color, and I really like how the trailing licks of the flames wrap around one another...... something I've not seen before. Also like the placement of the cross-flags on the C-pillar. Subtle, but somehow just right!!

I have a set of those cross-flags in place of the production Chevrolet emblem on the trunk of my '62 Biscayne.

Thanks for posting those pics!!

i think the HP rating is fine. actually i have more power than i really think is necessary. i love the way the destroked 400 revs. i really like the screaming sounds it makes in the upper rpm ranges.

well, some folks just can't grasp the cool factor of a Sedan and yeah, i get the Coupe vs Sedan stuff all the time. no biggie though as most of the time i'm the instigator! :D

i wouldn't want the place over-run by a bunch of Cooperboys who might act like trolls. being this is a Sedan Only forum i'll keep it to myself and to my Sedan Only friends. ;)
